I've been blogging and baking for a few years now. I started blogging over at http://bakingmemoirs.blogspot.com since November 2010 for myself. It was there that I started playing around with recipes, and blogged about it in order to keep track of recipes and decorating tips that I liked. It's funny to look back and see how far I've come. Having a proper cupcake frosting tips greatly influence the cuteness of a cupcake! And boy have I learned a thing or two... or probably more about the art of photographing my creations. But there is still so much to learn and experience in the magical world of sweets!
Happy New Year to the world! It's a brand new year, the perfect time to begin a brand new journey. And along with this journey a brand new blog. I'm happy to announce the birth of Sweets Occasions! I'd be touched if you joined me in watching this sweet bundle of joy grow and develop through journeys of sweets discovery as I whisk my way through a tasty bucket list.
Over 5000 cupcakes, 3 wedding cakes, thousands of cookies, a few smash cakes, birthday cakes, 300+ French macaroons, 400+ cake pops, and 95 blog posts later I am beginning to seriously consider turning this hobby into a business.
It's exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. I'm grateful for all the support and encouragement of so many family and friends. I almost have no idea where to start. I'm also moving from Hawaii to Vancouver, WA in a couple of months. I have so many questions and decisions to make. I feel like I know nothing. Here goes nothing...well it's a little more than nothing but join me on my journey and if you've taken a similar journey, I'd love any advice!
